1.john Marshall court decision-Marbury vs. Madison (1803)- a landmark United States Supreme Court case in which the Court formed the basis for the exercise of judicial review in the United States under Article III of the Constitution.The landmark decision helped define the boundary between the seperate executive and judicial branches of the American form of government. 2.louisana purchase (1803)- Thomas Jeffersons purchase of the Louisiana Territory gave over 600 million acres at less than 4¢ an acre. It was an economic as well as a political victory, as it avoided a possible war with the French. 3.embargo act (1807)- a general embargothat made any and all exports from the United States illegal. It was enacted by Congress. The goal was to force Britain and France to respect American rights during the Napoleonic Wars.
