Andrew Jackson
1.jacksonian democracy- political movement that had a greater democracy for the common man symbolized by American politician Andrew Jackson and his supporters
2.the 2nd bank of the us- created in 1816, and chartered for 20 years andrew Jackson was on record in opposition to the Bank. He argued on the one hand that no constitutional authority existed for the creation of a federal bank (the old Jeffersonian Republican argument) and on the other that the bank’s issuance of paper money was detrimental to the health of the economy.
3.indian removal act of 1830- the law authorized the president to negotiate with southern Indian tribes for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands.
4.ordinance of nullification- declared the Tariff of 1828 and 1842 null and void within the state borders of South Carolina. It began the Nullifaction crisis.
